Dear Supporters of Natural Land Institute:

Our 2020 Annual Dinner and presentation of the George and Barbara Fell Award, scheduled for Tuesday, March 24 has been postponed to later this year at a date to be announced.

You may receive a refund for tickets you purchased for the March 24 event upon request. We want to assure you that if you have already purchased tickets for the March 24th date those tickets will be honored for the new date. However, as this is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year, if you are not able to attend on the new date we ask that you please consider donating the value of your tickets to NLI. You may contact Kim or Jill at 815/964-6666 or if you have any questions. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our event sponsors for their support during these difficult days for us all.

The health and safety of Natural Land Institute’s members, supporters, volunteers and staff are very important to the Board of Trustees and we hope that you will do what is necessary to stay healthy.

NLI will continue doing the work of preserving, protecting, managing, and stewarding our natural lands throughout the region on a daily basis.

If you get stir crazy, or miss contact with others, we encourage you to go take a walk in nature. Northern Illinois has many natural assets and we encourage everyone in the community to spend time in nature as much as possible because of its calming and healing qualities. Breathing fresh air, getting exercise, interacting with plants and animals provide unlimited benefits for your physical and mental well-being. To enjoy nature visit NLI’s Nygren Wetland Preserve, Forest Preserves of Winnebago County, Rockford Park District parks, Nature at the Confluence, and your own yard.
