Business Case for Conservation

Land Conservation undertaken by the Natural Land Institute positively influences the region in several ways. It creates local jobs, draws visitors who boost tourism, protects the natural beauty that defines our communities, and provides safe havens for species on the decline. Conserved lands often increase nearby property values, generate additional tax revenue, preserve clean air and water and lower municipal costs through improved flood control.

Through our Working Lands program, NLI partners with farmers to conserve agricultural lands, support local food production, and share sustainable practices that benefit both people and the land. Preserving open space also makes our communities more appealing places to live and work.

Become a Corporate Sponsor
