Every Wednesday Stewardship: Keefer Nature Reserve
September 14, 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, repeating indefinitely
EVERY WEDNESDAY Volunteer Opportunity: 1 – 4 p.m.
(Starts October 6, 2021)
The William & Gayle Keefer Nature Reserve consists of 40 acres of woodland and an old quarry that was donated by Gayle to NLI in 2017. Staff and volunteers are working to remove non-native invasive brush to establish trails and to restore some areas to oak savanna and prairie. The limestone bluff and woodlands provide beautiful views, especially in spring with the woodland ephemerals.
Contact Laura Helmich, NLI Stewardship Technician, to let her know you want to help: 712/301-1208, email@example.com, and to get directions.
