Fourth Friday Stewardship Day: Keefer Nature Reserve
May 28 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
An event every month that begins at 9:00 am on day Fourth of the month, repeating indefinitely
The William & Gayle Keefer Nature Reserve consists of 40 acres of woodland and an old quarry that was donated by Gayle to NLI in 2017. Staff and volunteers are working to remove non-native invasive brush to establish trails and to restore some areas to oak savanna and prairie. The limestone bluff and woodlands provide beautiful views, especially in spring with the woodland ephemerals.
Contact Laura Helmich, NLI Stewardship Technician, to let her know you want to help: 712/301-1208, firstname.lastname@example.org, and to get directions.
