National Prairie Day – Moth and Bat Fun 8:30 PM

June 4 @ 8:30 pm - 9:30 pm

$10

Celebrate National Prairie Day and Support Bell Bowl Prairie

Organizers of Save Bell Bowl Prairie are hosting a search for moths and bats at dusk as a way to celebrate National Prairie Day and raise money to help pay for expenses related to saving Bell Bowl Prairie, an ancient prairie ecosystem under threat of destruction, located at Chicago Rockford International Airport.

Join Jillian Neece and Ellen Rathbone to watch and/or participate in “moth sheeting” and “bat monitoring” at Deer Run Forest Preserve and see what kind of fun you can get into discovering these underrated and interesting species.
