Celebrate National Prairie Day and Support Bell Bowl Prairie
Organizers of Save Bell Bowl Prairie are hosting a prairie walk through Harlem Hills Prairie Nature Preserve as a way to celebrate National Prairie Day and raise money to help pay for expenses related to saving Bell Bowl Prairie, an ancient prairie ecosystem under threat of destruction, located at Chicago Rockford International Airport.
Jillian Neece will lead hikers on a walk through the rolling hills and remnant gravel prairie of Harlem Hills Prairie while observing the wildflowers currently in bloom, all while enjoying the beautiful vistas in all directions.
