Tree Planting Day

May 25 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

Help us plant some trees! They’re small. But, we have a LOT of them, 400, in fact. We need your help to get them in the ground on Sat., May 25th at Natural Land Institute’s Lind-McGeachie Preserve, 6100 Fitzgerald Rd. All are welcome to join NLI staff to plant small tree saplings of bur, red and swamp white oak and northern pecan species, all native to our area.

Meet at 9 a.m. in the parking lot (see photo). The tree planting will last until all of the trees are planted. But you are welcome to work as long as your schedule allows. Please arrive at 9 a.m., though, because the tree planting area is away from the main entrance.

Dress for the weather, wear sturdy closed toe shoes/boots and bring a water bottle and snacks. Bring work gloves if you have them. We will have some available. Tools will be provided.

Please RSVP to Zach Grycan at zgrycan@naturalland.org by Friday, May 24th. Call or text Zach (include your name) at 920-912-4338 if you have questions or want to help.
