Natural Land Institute (NLI) and the Jo Daviess Conservation Foundation (JDCF) are working together to spearhead the creation of a Regional Strategic Land and Water Plan for Northwest Illinois.

The goal of the plan is to strengthen the vibrant communities, high-quality water ways and thriving farms of our region by identifying opportunities and tools for conservation groups and landowners to work together to find win-win solutions that benefit landowners while protecting land and water for future generations and meeting Illinois Nutrient Loss Reduction goals along the way. And, we want to know what you think.

We are hoping to get input from all potential stakeholders in the region as we develop this plan. We are committed to making sure it works for everyone. We have created a survey to help us get feedback from stakeholders about this project specifically and work needed in this region generally. Paper and PDF versions of the survey are also available if you prefer.

The deadline to fill out the survey is June 30, 2018.  Please fill out the survey and share this link with anyone and everyone with a stake in the future of soil health and water quality in NW IL:

Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.

Thank you in advance for helping us create a land and water plan that addresses the needs of the agricultural community, conservation, and residents of our region.
