Someone you don’t see every often, but her presence is vital to her teammates and to Natural Land Institute functioning well, is Jess Formea. She just celebrated 20 years this month as the part-time administrative and IT assistant. Jess’ primary role is to help Jill Kennay, Assistant Director, and her responsibilities include accounting/bookkeeping, filing, designing Constant Contact emails, and many other clerical tasks.
Jess’ position has also evolved with the times. She took on information technology as computers, internet access and websites became more commonplace and essential in the workplace in the past two decades. You may have seen her at events like the Annual Dinner and Party on the Prairie helping with check-in or with the silent auction check out. None of us know where we would be without the support of Jess.
Her family could say the same, we bet. Jess is married to Jamie and they have one son named Ethan, who turned 3 on March 19. Jess and her family live in Hartland, Wisconsin and NLI is fortunate that she can work remotely and in the office. Her full-time career is as a speech language pathologist at The Rehab Hospital of Wisconsin. Before the pandemic one of her favorite things to do outside of work was travel. She is hoping to get back on the travel track soon.
