A wooded area of Lind-McGeachie Preserve.

We are grateful and pleased to announce that we have received a grant from Nicor Gas in the amount of $9,997.60 that will help care for the land at two of our properties: Lind-McGeachie Preserve and William and Gayle Keefer Nature Reserve. The funds will be used for supplies and labor to remove non-native invasive species at both preserves.

The public will be invited to participate in volunteer land stewardship days and guided hikes at both preserves in the coming year on dates to be announced. Anyone interested in helping at land stewardship events or attending a guided walking tour may visit the calendar at www.naturalland.org, call 815/964-6666, or email info@naturalland.org to be added to an email list for more information and event dates.
