#OptOutside with us on
Black Friday, November 24, 2017
On Black Friday spend time outside doing something worthwhile for the environment. Join Chris Reisetter, our Site Steward for Howard D. Colman Dells Nature Preserve, who will host a Volunteer Community Service Stewardship Day on Friday, November 24 at this beautiful and hilly preserve. Help remove the non-native invasive honeysuckle, enjoy the fresh air, get some exercise and experience the serene beauty of this special place once visited by Aldo Leopold.
Other upcoming tentative volunteer days that Chris will be hosting are on 12/8, 12/9, and 12/16. He will be out there rain or shine, sun or snow until sundown. If you plan to join him please let him know so he can watch for you.
Dress for conditions, bring a pair of gloves, and follow the pink trail markers down and to the left from the parking lot. Bring water and a lunch if you plan stay through the noon hour. Email him at firstname.lastname@example.org or text him at 815-985-7208 if you want to participate or have questions.
Start time is 9:00 a.m. Work for a few hours or all day.
