Natural Land Institute (NLI) hosted the annual winter Wander at the Wetland: Full Moon Snowshoe & Hike on Monday, Jan. 13, 2025, 4:30 – 8:00 p.m. at Nygren Wetland Preserve (Rockton, IL).
About 150 people came out to enjoy the winterscape on a very cold evening and enjoyed themselves by the two bonfires, on the trail, and in the barn with the yummy treats and hot cocoa.
Thank you all of the volunteers who helped with pre-event set up, during the event and with clean up after it was over. Thank you to everyone who attended and thank you to NorthPointe Health & Wellness Campus for sponsoring and providing hundreds of luminaries for the trail. We also want to thank Rocktown Adventures for sponsoring and providing snowshoes that we didn’t need, but so appreciate their willingness to provide them if needed.
