Join us at Silver Creek Woods Preserve to assist with a variety of restoration work including the removal and treatment of invasive bush honeysuckle and common buckthorn, and burning of brush piles. Help restore a beautiful natural area in your community that provides habitat for beavers, owls, songbirds, and many other plants and animals, including four species of bats that love these thick shagbark hickory woods. In these winter months be on the lookout for nuthatches, brown creepers, and downy woodpeckers!

You are welcome to join us for the entire time listed or for part of the day. If you plan to stay the duration, you may want to bring a sack lunch. NLI provides water bottles, tools and gloves. Dress for the weather! Long sleeves, pants, and sturdy boots are recommended. We hope to see you there!
